There is nothing better than a clean home to come to after a long day at work. But it does not come easily – you have a lot to do until you get to relax with a Mojito in your hand. A home has a lot of things in it that need to be cleaned more than once in a lifetime. To aid you with that, I want to give you some tips, coming from my experience and from what I have read on the matter. Here we go.

Vinegar and a little bit of baking soda is all you need to bring back the shiny look of your golden jewellery. Put your jewels in a pot with vinegar and soda in it for a couple of minutes. Rub them gently and rinse with clean water.

What do you need when you are about to put some order in your wardrobe? It’s simple. First, you will need some empty plastic bags, suitcases and travel bags. Do you have those things? Good. Moving on. Now you need a lot of hangers and empty room in the wardrobe to put the folded clothes.

When washing your windows, add a table spoon of corn flour in a litre of lukewarm water. Apply it on the glass surface and then dry with a clean towel or paper.

When you are cleaning your fireplace, there is always a cloud of ashes that rises and ends up all over the place. A good way to avoid that is to spray the fireplace with a little bit of water. Create a fog that will make the ashes sticky. Then just wipe it off.

When you are done cleaning your floors, make sure you sanitize them as well, to get a better, cleaner living environment.

When you are hiring a professional cleaner, make you are clear about what you want and what will be best for your home. This way the person who will take care of your home or office will come prepared and there will be no funny business around the expenses or the number of visits. You can give them a checklist, but this form of communication will not allow further answering of questions which might come up.

Wipe all horizontal surfaces often – desktops, tables, shelves, etc. at least once a week. Sanitizing those surfaces is also a good idea.
